FAQs

Fees & Insurance

At this time, I do not accept insurance. However, I am able to submit billing on your behalf for your insurance to reimburse you for out-of-network benefits. Alternatively, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance on your own.

Out-Of-Network Benefits

Questions to ask your insurance to find out if/what your out-of-network benefits are. Some insurance companies will cover up to 40 to 80% but it depends on your specific provider and plan. The best thing is for you to call your insurance and find out the following information.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full session fee. This policy honors the time set aside for your care and allows me to offer that time to others. Late cancellations and missed appointments cannot be billed to insurance and will be your financial responsibility. However, if we're able to find a mutually available time to reschedule within the same week, the cancellation fee will be waived.

Training & Experience

I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from Long Island University, CW Post. I completed my clinical internship at SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital, and have extensive clinical experience at a range of outpatient and inpatient sites including The New York Psychoanalytic Institute and Mount Sinai Hospital.

Culture & Identity

Understanding how culture and identity (i.e., LGBTQ, BIPOC, class, and disabilities) intersect with personal struggles is central to my approach. I am committed to being sensitive to and acknowledging the socio-political realities that are beyond your control; while also helping you develop a sense of agency.
