Specialized Areas

Personality Disorders

I specialize in treating personality disorders, which involve ongoing struggles with relationships, mood instability, and an unclear sense of who you are. I primarily use Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), an active and dynamic approach that helps people understand and bring together conflicting parts of themselves and make sense of confusing or repeated relationship patterns. I also use techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help with managing strong emotions and coping skills.

Artists & Creatives

I work with artists, performers, and creative professionals navigating emotional challenges, identity questions, and creative blocks. The artist’s life is often deeply layered—full of richness but also intense vulnerability. In therapy, we explore how early experiences and unconscious patterns influence both your creative process and your sense of self. This is a place for reflection and growth. Many find that as they deepen their self-awareness, their art evolves in new and meaningful ways.

Trauma

I specialize in treating trauma through a psychoanalytic approach, exploring how experiences like emotional, physical or sexual abuse, neglect, or loss shape your sense of self, your relationships, and your ability to trust others. Together, we will work to understand patterns of disconnection or overwhelm. The goal is to process what you’ve carried alone so that you can feel safer and more connected to the people you love.

College & Graduate Students

I have extensive experience working with undergraduate, graduate, and medical students navigating the pressures of academic life, identity development, and the transition to adulthood. I understand the unique intensity of this stage—where questions about purpose, relationships, family, and self-worth often surface. Therapy can be a space to untangle anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and emotional overwhelm. As someone deeply familiar with student life, I get the rhythms, demands, and unspoken struggles that come with it. Together, we can make sense of what feels confusing or heavy.

Religious Identity & Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I work with individuals navigating their religious identity—whether you’ve left a faith tradition, are in the midst of questioning, or continue to participate in a religious community. This extends to those from Orthodox or Hasidic Jewish backgrounds. Therapy provides a space to process your relationship with faith, family challenges, and identity. I’m sensitive to customs, traditions, and halacha, and the pressures of community and gender roles. Together, we will explore how your experiences shape you and help you decide what you want for yourself religiously. You’ll be met with respect and curiosity, whether you stay rooted or find a new path.
